The two rod tips included with this rod have a different test curve and are therefore made to cover a wide variety of conditions. For example, the 1.75lb tip is ideal for fishing for barbel and chub in smaller rivers. But if you should catch an obstacle-rich spot, or would prefer to fish with heavy feed baskets , which require a lot more strength, then the 2.25lb tip is the right choice.

However, both tips are also very suitable for fishing for other fish such as large tench or bream. The Horizon X4 Barbel works particularly well on small to medium-sized waters.
