The Explorer Rod by Fox is perfect for any angler who likes to go astray or does not know what situation he will find in the chosen place.

You can hardly go wrong with this rod because it is extremely variable and versatile. The Explorer Rod blank is based on that of the Horizon X3, but has a unique, extendable handle. With this feature you can fish with this rod in two different lengths.

With the extendable handle part you can fish in the length 8ft / 240cm, or in the extended state with a length of 10ft / 300cm. Depending on the situation or the conditions you are currently experiencing, you can fix the rod in one of the two lengths and immediately have the right rod at hand.

In the 10ft variant you have a wonderful and perfect spod rod with which you can also fish for larger fish, such as sturgeon, because it is relatively stiff. However, Fox does not recommend using the 8ft variant as a spod rod . In the 8ft version it can be used as a stalker rod.

The rod blank, which is made of a high modulus carbon fiber construction, is particularly light and ideal for trips into difficult and unknown areas.

The continuous handle is covered with a full Japanese shrink wrap and is therefore very handy and non-slip, but also comfortable in the hand.

The Anti Tangle tip ring lets your fishing line slide smoothly and with little resistance, which improves the casting properties.
